Death of Zachariah Fry.
Zachariah Fry, aged 46, died in Rush Hill Friday night of kidney trouble. He had been ill of this disease for more than
three years and in the last few months he suffered much. He went to Eureka Springs in the hope of obtaining relief, but the
disease was proof against the waters of that great resort and he came home last Monday and since then gradually sank till
death relieved his sufferings.
Deceased was a native of Illinois, but was a resident of Audrain continuously for twenty years. he was an honorable and
well poised man, a friend of the friendless and charitable to those in need, and be goes down to his grave loved by his
neighbors and his friends who were legion.

The remains were laid to rest at Rock Hill church, Sunday.

cerne, who died at his home there

following a long illness. Mr. Fry 
came to Lake County with his wife 
some five years ago and operated 
a store and auto camp on the 
north side of Clear Lake. Following 
a disastrous fire that swept 
his premises, Mr. Fry had been 
residing at Marina.

 A native of Illinois, born there 
Nov. 7, 1867, Mr. Fry lived for a 
time in Missouri and more recently 
in Sacramento prior to his 
coming to Lake County.

 His body was taken to Napa by 
Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Russell, on 
Friday, where interment took 
place.

 Information of the death of Frank 

S. Fry, who lived in Mountain View 
from 1905 to 1929, is provided in a 
newspaper clipping sent to the Register-
Leader by Mrs. Lillian B. Fry, 
widow of the deceased and is as 
follows: 
"Funeral services were held here 
Sunday, at the Russell Funeral 
home, for Frank S. Fry, of Nice, 
who died at his home there Thursday, 
June 28, following a long illness. 
Rev. C. T. Harwell officiated 
at the services.

 "Mr. Fry came to Lake County 
with his wife some five years ago 
and operated a store and auto camp 
on the north side of Clear Lake. 
Following a disastrous fire that 
swept his premises, Mr. Fry had 
been residing at Marina.

 "A native of Illinois, born there 
November 7, 1867, Mr. Fry lived for 
a time in Missouri and more recently

city Mr. Fry was employed as engineer 
at the city water works He

friends in Mountain View who will 
learn of Mr. Fry's death with deep 
regret. He was a good man and

day where she had been undergo-
ing treatment for the last month.
She was the widow of the late
Frank Fry and was a native of
Ohio, aged 76 years.


 Mrs. Fry had been a member of
Hermenia Rebekah Lodge, IOOF,
for the last 50 years. She was hon-
ored by benig named district dep-
uty president for the year 1926 and
served with satisfaction and dis-
tinction. She was also a member of
Mountain View Grange and was ac-
tive in its varied projects. A wide
circle of friends hold her in loving
memory as a friendly neighbor and
cordial friend. A niece, Mrs. Flor-
ence E. Veteran. San Jose, and a
cousin, I. B. Long, Napa, are sur-
viving relatives.


 Friends are invited to attend funeral 
services Friday, February 2, 
at 11 a.m. from the Hays & Wyant 
Funeral Home in Mountain View, 
under the auspices of Hermenia 
Rebekah Lodge. Interment in Napa.

Ralph R. Fry. 50. committed suicide 
late yesterday in the garage of 
his father-in-law, Charles R. Higley. 
2721 E Street, during a moment 
of despondency induced by ill 
health. He shot himself through 
the left temple with a revolver. 
Daughter Finds Body. 
The body was found by the victim's 
14-year-old daughter, Marjorie. 
The death attempt was made 
at 2:15 o'clock in the afternoon, 
but the shot was not heeded by 
the family, who believed the report 
to be an automobile backfire. The 
body was not discovered for more 
than an hour afterward.

 Fry is said to have been informed 
by a physician earlier in the 
day that he was afflicted with kidney 
trouble, and that he would be 
unable to work during the period 
of effecting a cure.

 Worked At Brighton.

 He had been employed as a staation 
agent at Brighton by the 
Southern Pacific Company. The 
station was closed last week and 
Fry had been waiting for transfer 
to another position.

 Fry is survived by his widow 
Myrtle E. Fry, and two daughters 
Ethelwynne and Marjorie.
