"Pisgah" Cemetery

Section 30,Township 52N, Range 12W.
Saling Township
This cemetery is sometimes referenced as Mt. Pisgah, more often it is simply "Pisgah".
Located about a mile and a half north of Sturgeon, Boone County in Audrain County,
*Pisgah* was/is an important cemetery for both Audrain and Boone county families in the general area.
 


This is a wonderful little statue on the grave site of little Eunice Sims b. 26 Aug 1900 d. 16 June 1906

Dead
Eunice the six-year old daughter of William Sims and wife, of near Tulip died Saturday morning of blood poisoning.  The little girl, while at play, fell and cut a small place upon her thumb, but as the place was very small it was not thought dangerour until the child became ill.  The remains were buried at Pisgah, in Audrain County, after burial services.
