ACAGS volunteers ( when available ) staff the the joint collection of genealogical materials located on the lower level of the library 5 days a week 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM or by appointment.  There is usually someone there at least 3 or 4 days a week. 

The Audrain County Area Genealogical Society is dedicated to assisting individuals with an interest in genealogical and family history by providing educational programs, seminars, formal classes and volunteer assistance.

The society provides volunteers, when available, to assist those individuals interested in using the resources of the Mexico-Audrain County Library District and the society. The joint collection is located on the lower level of the library.

Family History Hours: Monday - Friday 1:00pm - 4:00pm, staffed by volunteers or by appointment.

The society will make every effort to respond to written inquiries from out of town researches requesting Audrain County information. A self-addressed stamped envelope is expected for each reply.

The society publishes a quarterly newsletter as a service to its members. The news includes Society projects, queries and items of genealogical and historical interest. The newsletter is exchanged with other societies.

The ACAGS will search for any Full Name in their card file or indexes, for the nominal research fee of $10. The file contains over 200,000 names and is growing weekly. A copy of their findings will be sent to you and at an additional charge can be accessed for desired copies of information.
